I've processed the first of AJC's rock climbing photos.
The original image size was 2.4M which I've reduced to 93K without image degredation. Without doing this the time to render the page over the internet becomes unacceptable.

C O M P A S S       L O G O
The redesign begins with the "compass logo". Most web browsers viewing the site do so at a 32 bit colour depth - in 16 million colour mode. With so many colours available, lovely graduated colour fills are possible. A couple of hours playing with the vector art package "ArtWorks" resulted in the banner that you now see across the top of the page. I'm also going for a 'teal' coloured background as that's this year's 'in' colour.

M A K E O V E R
This website is getting a long overdue makeover. Several new items are planned quite aside from making the site look more attractive. It's easier to work on a 'live' site rather than one confined to my computer, so the various articles and features will be posted one by one over the next few weeks as they are completed.
